Past Engagements
Plant Depot
June 11th, 2011 Christina Haynes made it possible for me to present my hummingbird talk at the wonderful nursery, Plant Depot. They make a point to protect nesting hummingbirds. If a hummingbird has nested and laid her eggs the plant will not be sold until her babies have fledged. They post a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the tree or rose bush. It was an overcast day but my talk still drew a crowd of 45 hummingbird enthusiasts.
Goin Native
June 18th, 2011 Goin Native on Los Rios Street San Juan Capistrano. I presented my talk to a small appreciative group at Marianne Taylor’s lovely garden, Goin Native, on Los Rios Street, San Juan Capistrano. Los Rios Street is the oldest continued habited neighborhood in California.
Garden Club of Laguna Woods
June 22nd, 2011, Garden Club of Laguna Woods. A record breaking 131 attended my presentation. A most wonderful experience. I was complimented that it was their best presentation. Their facilities accommodated nearly a movie theatre size screen and had a great sound system. The V.P. of Programs, Nancy Field, assisted graciously with a cart to transport all of my equipment and display items.
Palmia Garden Club
Wednesday, September 14th, 2011 at the Palmia Garden Club, Mission Viejo. A very appreciative group of 65 members attended my presentation. The program director, Diane Cleverdon was very helpful in making it possible to enjoy sharing my program. I was supplied with a good sound system and screen viewing.
